While African economies have enjoyed accelerated economic growth over the past fifteen years, for many countries this buoyant performance has not been accompanied by structural change, increased formal employment or broad-based gains in livelihoods. We are interested in the policies needed for inclusive growth, and the political circumstances that might encourage such policy innovations.

John Hopkins University brought together a distinctive group of political scientists, economists, practitioners and policy specialists to look at present achievements and prevailing challenges to future development.

Economic growth and Social Inclusion
Yemi Cardoso was one of the Speakers and he spoke on Enhancing Finiancial Innovation and access, Other Nigerian Speakers include Kayode Fayemi, the former Governor of Ekiti State and present Minister of Solid Minerals, Matthias Mordi of the Nigerian Competitiveness Council
