It came as a shocker to most students and parents when the most prestigious polytechnic in Nigeria postponed​ its matriculation ceremony without notifying the students or parents before the scheduled ceremony.

It's terrible to note that after so much preparation made by the newly admitted students and their parents, who struggled to come up with delicious dishes and travelled from far and near in order to put a smile on the faces of their matriculating kids. The school management all of a sudden decided to postpone the matriculation ceremony earlier scheduled to hold on the 18th of July, 2017 without preinforming the students.

The students got to school and found memos placed around the school within the period of 9:00am - 10:00am. On the part of the parents, a lot of resources and funds have been "wasted" due to the impromptu notice.

How I wish the notice came earlier, it would have saved the students and their parents the stress of coming for the scheduled ceremony. Let's hope it doesn't get postponed again on the new approved date 20th of July, 2017.
