The Group Chief Executive Officer of Oando Plc, Mr. Adewale Tinubu, has said that the reason for the persistent long queues at filling stations across the country in the last three months is the delay in payment of subsidy to fuel importers by the Federal Government.

Tinubu, who spoke in Abuja yesterday at an Investors’ Forum on the company’s ongoing Rights Issue to raise N21 billion, advised that to end the ugly trend, the Federal Government should guarantee the subsidies with the banks so that the payment would be made on time.
