A petition has been sent to the Babatunde Fashola, the Minister for Power, Works and Housing, whose responsibilities also include federal government owned land, by a group known as the Avu Federal Estate Neighbourhood Association, over what the group claims is the "forcible and unlawful invasion" of their land in Owerri by Imo State governor Rochas Okorocha.
