the bolded is the key problem of an Igbo man in a Nigeria Society ... Although their strength (in being free spirited) yet their weakness in being able to freely associate with other tribe.
Popular saying has it that as you point one finger at another, 4 fingers are pointing right back at you.

Your selective amnesia is nauseating.

If Igbos had a weakness of freely associating with other tribes, the Igbos would not be the second most populous ethnic units( second only to the indigenous tribes) in every major city in Nigeria.
Secondly, the Igbos intermarry other tribes more than any other tribe in Nigeria.
The Igbos assimilate the languages, music and cultures of other Nigerian tribes more than any other tribe in Nigeria.

Now, let's compare, Kazim88, just assuming from your moniker, your neck of the Zoo, where , much too frequently, non- indigenes and non-muslims are massacred and genocided for little excuses.
How many times in Nigerian history, have Igbos risen up to massacre neighboring ethnic groups or those living amongst them ?
Tell me.

Imagine a kazim , presumably a Muslim and or a person of Northern extraction, telling us here that Igbos have difficulties getting along with different tribes!! shocked

There is no type of nonsense one will not see hereon Nairaland.

The Fulanis and all Fulani states produce nothing for the federation account, yet they all sorts of lies and gimmicks to collect the lion share of everything contributed by others.

They actually planned with their military juntas to continuously milk the south until such a time when the southern resources run out. Then they will suddenly find an excuse to break away from Nigeria and then begin to mine their own solid minerals to survive when the southern oil would have been long finished.

That is why every southern group must first HALT FURTHER OIL PUMPED OUT OF OUR SOIL AND SEAS UNTIL WE HAVE JUST RESOURCE CONTROL OF TRUE FEDERALISM.

Once you halt the OIL FLOW, they know you understood their game plan and will seriously consider a just country or leave now rather than in the future after sucking the south dry.

how would you get the southerners to halt and stop all oil production, when they can't even sit in the same room to talk to each other, loom at what us happening between the ijaws and the itshekiri of delta state...the polity is deeply polarized. and the youth who hold the future ate divided among ethnic and religious lines. I hope in the nearest future the southerners would try and find away to come together and change things for the good.

because in the real sense and no bias notion attached tell me a northern administration that as actually brought clear development to the nation.

When did FG use force against IPOD agitation?
I don't believe force was used.

Believe whatever you want to believe. is your choice I would have ask you to google "amnesty international Biafra" but you would deliberately avoid the truth.

Even Al Jazeera showed Buhari the Video where Nigeria Military was slaughtering unarmed Biafra he was kind of cool with it (he did not even pretend and condemn it) to the shock of the rest of the whole world.

We don't study history obviously in Nigeria... We keep doing same mistake over an over.

Do yourself, research the relationship between the North and the Igbos before the war. before independence (google, YouTube)

The Igbo were highly unwelcome in the north... generally because if envy.
Ahmadu Bello was very open about it.. He said the Igbos being more educated then where taken all the jobs, all the businesses, everything in the North.
the North had wealth then, the great pyramid of Kano... Agriculture. The Igbos where dominating everything.

learn something today....
The Igbos celebrate prosperity the North don't.. you could be beggar in north and be respected.

North are conservative.. The Igbos are Progressive.

Igbos were killed during the Civil War by the Hausa/Fulani to exterminate them.. Infact some north soldiers where illegally fishing out Igbos in west to kill them... which is against war ethics... They wiped out the whole Igbo in the North.

After the war... Igbos still bounce back... still became prosperous... still travel back to same north, still bought land... still advanced... same envy from the North still built up... so for any remote excuse they massacre the Igbos... for any cartoon drawn in Denmark, they out of envy and fear and jealousy massacre Igbos.

A sit at home in honor of those (3 million souls) that died in biafra war.... The North saw it as a good excuse to massacre again.

Young man, The Igbos don't learn... else they won't flaunt their prosperity in the North. Else they would have fought hard for their own sea port, their own international airport, their own integrated economy but they are quick to go to Kano, Abuja, Kaduna, Lagos .

You are lying.
Aljazeera an imperialist outfit much like Sahara reporters, tried to show Buhari an unverified video clip during his interview purporting to be Nigerian soldiers killing IPOB.

Buhari quite rightly declined to view it. If they knew the video was what they claim they should have shown it to their viewers, but they didn't.

Amnesty International are imperialist controlled and are known for making false allegations against African govts battling insurgency that imperialists are sponsoring.

If Nigerian troops were truely deliberately killing innocent IPOB protestors, Social media should be filled with photos from protestors' camera phones.

Almaheed:

of course the problem is with Nigeria, but there is also an Igbo problem which some certain elements among the Igbo community tend to carry around then anywhere they go, as much as they are the well traveled and industrious tribe in Nigeria they tend to undermine social values and cultures and constituted authority. this started because they themselves chose to disregard their own traditions and customs which as been cancerous to their existence as a Nation of people. which has brought about their relegation in the Nigeria political calculations

In Nigeria, Igbos are desperately running away from extinction, and Yorubas are desperately courting the Igbos to stay put and deal with it.

Remember, they are the most travelled.....which translates into the most collectively gained engaging experiences from the travelling.

Truthfully, even restructuring (although a good start) will never never stop Hausa Fulani from killing other Nigerians.

Hausa Fulani will for ever impunitly imposing on others politically, economically(controlling every region resources), religiously, socially etc.
