Text:Exodus 3:1-15.
Introduction :
God is aware of the challenges every human being is going through. A lot of times, people think that God is ignorant of their problems but He is not. You see, though God is aware of the challenges everybody is going through yet He is only responsible to His children by covenant. He has covenant only with His own - His children.

From the scriptures above, it is clear that God's people can be made to suffer, they can be afflicted, tormented, killed and even be subjected to paedocide. Though God saw all these things yet there was no change in the situation of the children of Israel because the people never cried for a change. They however lifted their voices and cried out to God when the situation became unbearable for them. That was why God said in verse 7 that "I have surely seen the affliction of My people which are in Egypt and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters."

Brethren, it is not enough for God to see your affliction as it wasn't enough that He saw the affliction of the children of Israel; He should also hear your cry - your prayer. This is because, some things will not change until we pray. Didn't the Lord teach us in Mt :6:8 that ''....for your Heavenly Father knoweth what things you have need of, before you ask Him," yet He said ''Hitherto have ye asked nothing in My name; ask and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full."John 16:24.

God saw the affliction of the people of Israel but the people didn't activate the process of a change until they began to cry. Their delay in the cry for deliverance made them stay longer in their affliction. God in Gen15:13 had already told Abraham that his seed would dwell in a strange land and be afflicted for 400 years but how long did they eventually spend in bondage? 430 years -extra 30 years, because they didn't cry for a change early enough.

When you do the arithmetic, you'll discover that when Moses was 40 years old, the children of Israel had already spent 390 years in Egypt - 10 years to go for their deliverance. That was why Moses perceived in his heart, that is, sensed in his spirit that the nation of Israel would soon experience deliverance through his hand. Exodus 7:23-25. But instead of him to seek God, resort to prayer, consult leaders of the children of Israel, tell them that it's time to seek God because their deliverance is near, he decided to do it his own way. I'm sure if Moses and the nation of Israel had sought God, they would have left Egypt at the time God said they would leave. So God had to teach Moses that you don't minister deliverance to people by physical strength but by the spirit of God... to be continued.

May the Grace of God be with you. Amen
