On November 5, 1994, Ronald Reagan, a former President of the United States of America, in his last public appearance wrote a farewell address to the nation, informing the people that he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer disease, an incurable neurological disorder, in which the death of brain cells causes memory loss and cognitive decline. In the address he wrote, “I now begin the journey that will lead into the sunset of my life”. Reagan gave his parting message earlier, because he felt he would not have another change to say goodbye.

Life President Reagan, I understand the necessity of saying what has to be said urgently, giving the uncertainties that characterize our world. So friend, if we never get to meet again this side of eternity, if we never get the chance to say goodbye to each other because it’s very possible that our paths may never cross again, then consider these as my parting word to you:

“The time is short, it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none; And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not; And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for fashion of this world passeth away” (1 Corinthians 7:29-31).

Time is short, whether you realize it or not; it speeds on, and every passing moment tells us so.

Since this is a fact of life, permit me to ask you these questions: Is there a chance we will meet on the other side of life, in the city of gold where there’s no day or night, a city where there will be no crying, sorrow, pain, disappointments or any form of hardship? Are you living your life according to the dictates of God’s Word or of the World? As you go through this fast-paced world, where the love of many Christians is waning; sinners are growing worse and going deeper into sin; Children are becoming more headstrong and rebellious; famine, pestilence, wars and rumours of war permeate the air; anarchy and oppression are becoming the other of the day; terrorism, kidnapping, paedophilia and all kinds of atrocities are everywhere, are you making plans for the hereafter?

Jesus will soon come to take His saints home, and thereafter judge the rest of the world. Are you prepared to go home with HIM, or are you waiting for His judgment? He is calling you to repent of your sins and believe the Gospel (Mark 1:15). It is not the will of God that anyone, including you, should but that everyone should come to repentance/ there is no sin too much or too small for God to forgive. He says in Isaiah 1:18, “Come now, and let us reason together… though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Come to Him by repenting of your sins, and He will accept you, cleanse you with his atoning blood, and make you ready for His return. Don’t procrastinate! Repent NOW when you still have the chance to do so.

Reach out to JESUS Christ…where at thou ....in prayer
