Public Relations Manager

Position Description:
Laura and LLoyd Communications Limited is looking for an enthusiastic Public Relations (PR) Manager to manage the relationships between company and external parties. You will be the one to project the “face” of the company and will be instrumental in enhancing its popularity and trustworthiness.
An excellent PR Manager is, above all, an exceptional communicator. They possess creativity and knowledge of different tactics to identify and engage the appropriate target audience.

Key Responsibilities
As a PR manager, you'll need to:
• Have proven experience as public relations executive or similar role
• Develop a marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics
• Manage events, including press conferences and promotional events
• Manage Staff and Client accounts
• Attend and promote client events to the media
• Assist with the production of client publications, such as in-house magazine
• Undertake research for new business proposals and present them to potential new clients
• Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
• Coordinate all public relations activities
• Direct social media team to engage audiences across traditional and new media
• Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
• Manage media inquiries and interview requests
• Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations
• Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis
• Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.

Skills and Requirements
• You must live in Lagos Island/ Lekki/ Ajah axis
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask
• The ability to cope with pressure
• Creativity, imagination and initiative
• Good teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews
• Exceptional writing and editing skills
• Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
• BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years experience
