Good day guys. Pls I want ur reviews on the 2001-2005 C class. I terms of maintenance, accessibility to parts, usual faults/problems and their solutions. I intend getting it and I don't wish to regret later. Pple are advising me to go for Avalon 02. But I just love this benz and its sporty look though am very tall

Stop mis-informing the ignorant pls. OP, any model whether Coupe, cabriolet, estate, hatchback or sedan are good depending on your desires, any engine is good. Just the C240 feels slightly underpowered, really it is okay for such chassis that bears it.

Sorry,it's wat I know and I'm talking frm Experience.i and my friend still discussed about dis car yesterday and still talked About wat happened to him abt d car den.

I was in ur shoes few weeks ago. I inquired from both Nairaland and quora.
The summary is that:
1. Mercedes Benz is better younger. The older it becomes, the more likely you are to spend;
2. It rusts and looses value with time;
3. Electrical fault is the major problem of C-class Benz;
4. The car has luxury and executive, reason for high cost of its parts;
5. In tems of maintenance for a 2nd hand, Camry is always more economical, Cheaper to maintain and has more value.

This helped me make an informed decision. Av already ordered for a 2003 Toyota Camry from Canada. Waiting to receive it.

the engine parts of c230 is more expensive than that of 240,i have drove the kompressor and the 240, c230kompressor 271engine,c240,v6 112 engine, though i dnt knw for the newer v6 272 engine, the only problem is dat the kompressor engine is noisy, but the v6 is smooth,but the kompressor is very economical in fuel,mercedes parts is not cheap,i rmba the day my head lamps wer blinkin wen i put it on,went to the first electrican for 6hours he could not find the fault, he was sweatin, i called a frnd of mine n he directed me to one of the best in jos,after about one hour he found out dat der was a little spark on d fuse box wic u cant see easily,thinkin it was sumtin of 5k, i called the benz auto dealer i had to beg with 35k,but generally benz is the car anyday,
