Angry Mob Set Dangote's Depot Ablaze After Policemen Caused the Death of a Lady, Pregnant Woman, Children in Onitsha

A Facebook user, Ferdinand Izuchukwu Ezulike, has taken to the social networking platform and shared photos and video of the chaos that happened along Onitsha/Owerri Expressway in Anambra State on Thursday after a pregnant woman and her two children who were returning back from hospital met their untimely death.

According to an eyewitness reporter, the incident was caused by some policemen attached to the Dangote Cement Depot in the area who left their duty post to mount a roadblock on the major road where they were allegedly extorting money from the motorists.

The tragic incident reportedly occurred when the policemen stopped a tricycle popularly known as Keke Napep without knowing a truck was coming behind it, as the tricycle stopped as commanded by the policemen, the truck which was already in motion crushed both the tricycle, the pregnant woman and her children whom were about crossing the main road.

After the incident happened, the policemen allegedly ran back to the Dangote Depot, their original duty post where they tried to escape from after seeing mammoth crowd that gathered around the scene whom were ready to lynch anybody on uniform.

Few moments later, the Dangote Depot building which was formerly Amazu Motors was set ablaze by the angry mob

Nigerians ehh. .. wetin concern Dangote depot and policeman that shot some people. I thought its best to attack the policeman or set ablaze any police station around.. this is the same attitude of the okene people of kogi. kill a goat there and they will burn every cars passing through thier town for 1 week

How dem no go see truck behind a kẹkẹ? How big was that kẹkẹ irin how small was the truck? I am sure their plan was to us the kẹkẹ tó force the truck driver to stop . In pH some years back many police men were using that tactic to get trailers and a trucks to stop because of egunje they would get from them. Taxis paid #50 busses paid #100 and trucks paid #200 per night after which they were assigned special numbers which they have to use thought the night. One night they tried to use the taxi I as in to force a truck to stop. The driver sensing their plan just moved off the road even thou they insisted that he stay on the road. They got mad at him and said he caused the truck to escape. The yeye truck driver sef instead just match accelerator as soon as he sighted the police he did not even show any sign of slowing down rather he increased speed. Our driver asked them how they could be this wicked and they said the truck driver would have stopped if he did not move.

But the truck driver sef, instead of stopping to pay fine he decided to kill people and I am sure he escaped too. Zoogeria is a death trap.
