Hi all can anyone please help? here is what I have at the moment. 4 x 260 Watt Panels in parallel Connected to Outback 80 MPPT Charger controller that is connected to a battery bank of 8 x 105 ah Gel batteries in parallel then connected to a 12 volt 2500 watt to 5000 watt peak inverter can I run a 1.5 HP ac motor swimming pool pump with this set up ?. Or would it be better to change the pump for a variable speed one. Or also would a DC solar pump be better still running straight from the PV panels. All comments are greatly needed. Thanking you guys and girls in anticipation! |

I suppose it all depends on how many ltrs you want to pump per hr... I use a 12 v dc cheap flea bay pump to run through my evacuated tubes but that's run tBrough a thermostat so goes off &.on according to the temp. http://noisypool.com/ |
