This idiom means 'to hear rumors' about something or someone.

This means to deceive someone into thinking well of them.

Being upset for something that happened in the past.

4. BACK SEAT DRIVER :

Someone who offers unwanted advice.

5. BREAK A LEG :

A good luck wish.

6. STEAL SOMEONE'S THUNDER :

To get attention and praise for doing something that someone else had planned to do.

7. DARK HORSE :

One who was previously unknown that rises to prominence.

8. EXCUSE MY FRENCH :

Forgive me for cussing out and using vulgar language.

This means to be patient.
