I notice gruuum!gruum!!sound frm under my car which i suspect it is an exhaust leak,took it to a panel beater/welder who boast of 30yrs experience,look undr d car & said he saw no leak,that problem is d back exhaust muffler,he remove,cut open it was empty & said the net has decomposed that he will replace the net after replacing d net with fowl wire netting,it look queer 2 me,y shld muffler has net or iron sponges?anyway d sound dissappear but d muffler dnt feel very hot after a ride,i fear water will accumulate in d muffler if it is not hot enough to evaporate it,only yestersday i have oppurtunity 2 look under d car,& discover it is d flexible pipe that is damage open due to frequent scratch on d grd now a useless panel beater has done an open- heart surgery on a simple heart burn.

With experience I Av learnt to just explain the problem to them without suggesting what I thing is wrong with the car. Just allow them do a comprehensive check before touching anything

after my explanation i started d car for him to go under & inspect,d lesson is all car owner must hav ideal about faults,listen to unusual noise,use eye to inspect,use nose to percieve unusual smell,try hav idea of where,what d fault is,to avoid more damage to yur car & waste of money.
