Days after the US senate passed new sanctions on Russia for her alleged intervention role in the US 2016 presidential elections. The Russian President Vladimir Putin has now reacted stating that 755 US diplomats must leave Russia and also warning that ties with Washington may be gridlocked for a long time, This is in response to the move that followed tough new American sanctions.

It will be recalled that the Obama administration few weeks to the handover to the Trump administration had expelled some Russia Diplomats.

The US senate took another move in what was seen as a mild gesture been shown the Russians by President Trump in the midst of the ongoing Russia interference investigation.

According to Putin. “More than a thousand people were working and are still working” at the US embassy and consulates,

“755 people must stop their activities in Russia.” The Russia president said in an interview with Rossia-24 television.

“We have waited long enough, hoping that the situation would perhaps change for the better,”.

“But it seems that even if the situation is changing, it’s not for any time soon.” He further added

The US Senate had overwhelmingly approved a bill to toughen sanctions on Russia for allegedly meddling in the 2016 US presidential election and for its annexation of Crimea in 2014 on On Thursday, Along with Russia are Iran and North Korea which were also been placed in the sanctions bill.

International relations are becoming more heated and intriguing each passing day. The sounds of threats & counter threats, sanctions & counter sanctions, missiles & Anti-missiles testings, makes me just as worried that my country is too far off the mark to squeeze the world by its balls.
