Nollywood Industry has steadily grown over the years becoming Africa’s largest film industry. From romance to comedy, horror, drama, soap operas and action, Nollywood has proven worthy as a film industry.

Here is a list of what we think are a must watch for 2017 in no particuler order;

Isoken

This movie tells the story of a young, successful and intelligent single lady (played by Dakore Akande) in her mid-thirties pressured by her mum and relatives to get married. She was introduced to a classy, wealthy and cute Osaze, whose aura placed a demand on her sophisticated shade. Just as she goes with the flow, she coincidentally meets Kelvin, a young Briton whose love for the Nigerian culture from childhood transformed him into a humble and simple character – the perfect blend for Isoken. She had to make a decision between pleasing her mum and sticking to her heart’s choice.

The film ‘Isoken’ was written, produced and directed by Jadesola Osiberu.

10 Days in Sun City

The movie is about Bianca is a campus beauty queen (played by Adesua Etomi) who Akpos has sacrificed his livelihood to make successful. After successfully winning a national beauty pageant, Bianca, ever loyal to Akpos, is now an international celebrity rolling with society’s ‘high and mighty’. Otunba who is also invested in Bianca follows Akpos and Bianca to Sun city but will Akpos give up his love with all the sweat he has invested or will Otunba win this time with the use of his wit and charm as the ‘old fox’ which he has used to conquer like he has done time and again, in the world of business?

The comic movie was shot in Sun City, Johannesburg and Lagos, directed by award-winning South Africa-based Nigerian, Adze Ugah, written by Kehinde Ogunlola and produced by AY.

The movie cast celebrities such as 2face Idibia, Adesua Etomi, Mercy Johnson, Falz The Bahd Guy, Uti Nwachukwu, Yvonne Jegede, Alexx Ekubo and veteran actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo. Also featured in the movie were South African comedienne, Thenjiwe Moseley, Amanda Du Pont, Celeste Ntuli and a bit of Hollywood spice, Miguel Nunez Jr.

According to AY, the movie has helped in showcasing to the world the tourism potentials of Nigeria and South Africa.
