Hello guys, a friend of mine recently got a tokunbo 2002 Subaru legacy, to state the fact this is his second Subaru, and he so much love the brand. I've researched online about the brand and the reviews are so good. Why is Subaru not so common on naija roads?

OP, I've also been wandering about d same thing for long now.

Coz I particularly admire d Subaru Impreza, which is a car excellent in performance n economic in fuel (coz they have I4 engines with turbo) and still looks decent jst like a corrola.

I think spare parts wud alwayz b cheaper wen d cars are much available in d country, which is possible wen d brand is accepted by Nigerians jst like it is with d Corrola itself.

So, d question still remains, why is d brand not accepted by Nigerians despite d cars looking compatible with Nigerian roads.

It's the name. Subaru sounds like Suberu and in Afonja language Suberu means Ode.... grin grin grin.

You just nailed it, its an acceptance issue, most Nigerians have issues with the name, Subaru.

I just watched a movie titled "Baby Driver" and frm the first scene I was already shouting "Yeah! Dats my Subaru right there!"

Anyone dat has seen dat movie gatto love Subaru Imprezza. D car killed d first scene with epic drifts and performance comin frm a decent looking car.
