In most cases, nosebleeds are not as serious as they appear. Nosebleeds can easily be stopped if you follow a few simple steps:

Lean the head slightly forward and do not tilt your head backwards.
Stop the bleeding by pressing the nostrils together with a piece of cloth or tissue for about 10 minutes.
Contact your doctor:

If the bleeding did not stop after 15 -20 minutes.
If the bleeding is fast and you are losing much blood.
