What I see in these pictures are clear negligence and dereliction of duty. Someone whose duty it was to maintain this edifice either refused to perform his duties or the lodge was deliberately starved of funds to maintain the property. Those who caused this negligent decay deserve maximum punishment.

Won't be surprised if the old lodge is later sold for pennies!

So what's really wrong with this? Tell me if Mr Udom Emmanuel has an eternal life far above the ones living on the floating houses in Makoko.
Imagine the house even has it's own personal mini provision store for times when he suddenly wants to drink satchet Milo like Buhari. How many houses today can boast of such interesting luxury in Nigeria today?
Pope John Paul II of blessed memory was buried in a wooden casket. One day the poor will have nothing left to eat but the rich.

After Akwa Ibom people will be shouting, "Mobil should relocate their headquarters from Lagos to the state".

Is the Governor relocating to Lagos like our President to Uk?
Come on, check those small business enterprise who has registered with the state government in each local government and inject some cash into them,

There are schools to renovate, facilities to replaced in schools, go and equip hospitals, roads, street lights, this are things that will benefit more people and they will remember this government positively.

No, 9 billion 2 billion has already been approved for a brand new lodge.

Why renovate with 250 million when you can build a new one with 2 billion?

Sell off the building. Does the lagos government have a an apartment in Akwa ibom. 700 million will build thousands of home for the homeless in Akwa ibom. sad

lagos would rather build a farm in other state than a house.

That house cannot be renovated but bulldozed.

But trust Nigerians, they will renovate it with N700m

That house should be close to 50 years old..

Why not sell the land

That is how stupid Nigerian politicians are.

A house meant for bulldozing or Sale, they are talking of embezzling N700m in the name of renovation.
