DR. EMMANUEL UDUAGHAN FOR TITANS OF TECH AWARDS
His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, CON, Former Governor of Delta State has been confirmed as the Special Guest of Honour of the 12th edition of the prestigious Titan of Tech Awards and Gala night billed for the Oriental Hotel,Victoria Island, Lagos, on Friday, August 11, 2017.

Don Pedro Aganbi, Executive Secretary of the Titans of Tech Awards Board, who revealed Dr. Uduaghan’s participation this weekend in Lagos noted that the acceptance was a clear demonstration of the former Governor’s belief in ICT as a driver and a fulcrum to leapfrog the Nigerian economy. He remarked that this is an indication of the great understanding of the immense potential of ICT to revive, renew and indeed reform and transform the country.

In a letter the former Governor wrote to confirm his attendance at the high octane Titans of Tech Awards, he said “ I look forward to meeting key stakeholders in the Nigerian ICT industry to share my thoughts on the very important role ICT can play in the current diversification effort of Government. ICT remains a very key factor if our nation must compete in today's digital world and it would be a great Joy to meet and interact with the men and organisations who have blazed the trail and used ICTs to improve the way of life in our Society. He noted that Nigeria has already began to benefit from the power of ICT to change lives, generate jobs and boost socio-economic development across the country but with plenty of room for further growth.” The former Governor said.

The Titans of Tech Awards and Gala Nite is designed to celebrate Nigeria’s Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) most important movers and shakers, the pioneers, innovators, men, women, organisations and institutions that are at the forefront of ICT adoption and usage in Nigeria. It is also an avenue to influence policy, network and connect with key industry players.

He disclosed that the award cum gala night is an avenue to recognize and celebrate individuals who have made a huge difference not just in their companies/organization but also on the industry and the country as a whole. It is a recognition of overall excellence, of unflinching commitment and a lifetime of efforts in the service of ICT, humanity and Nigeria.

Special feature at the gala nite would be the TITANS OF TECH BUSINESS ROUNDTABLE designed to bring together top panel of experts, innovators and connectors to discuss key global economic trends and chart a course that will transform Nigeria into a global economic hub that is safe, secure, functional, productive and driven by Technology.

Aganbi revealed that in Nigeria with over $40 billion invested in the nation’s ICT sector there is an urgent need to assess and promote the impact of this pervasive sector.

Other high caliber guests confirmed for the prestigious Titans of Technology Awards are the Minister of Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu who is confirmed as Chief Host and Chairman Senate Committee on ICT, Senator Abdufatai Buhari among others.
