Manchester United Boss, Jose Mourinho has publicly stated that he is interested in Gareth Bale.

The international Welshman who created 22 chances for his clubside Real Madrid last season is likely to move back to England before the transfer window closes. Real Madrid are interested in young French international, Kylian Mpabbe. They need to offload a few players to accommodate Mbappe.

Speaking ahead of the Red Devils’ UEFA Super Cup clash against Los Blancos tomorrow evening, Mourinho has hinted that he believes Zinedine Zidane’s staring XI will give a huge indication as to whether Bale will be up for sale or not.

“If Bale plays tomorrow it means Madrid want him,” the Portuguese tactician told reporters at a press conference. “If not, then we’ll be waiting for him on the other side.”

An injury-hit 2016/17 campaign, the switch to playing two up front in order to accommodate Cristiano Ronaldo as well as the fine form of Isco has placed Bale’s status as a guaranteed starter for Los Merengues under serious threat.

Bale is known to be more confident playing on the wide left side of the pitch or behind a striker. He scored 7 la liga goals in 19 appearance for Los Blanco’s last season. So far in the preseason, he hasn’t enjoyed the best of playing time a star player like him should get and it remains to be seen if he’s considered an important part of Zidane’s plans.
