Seriously, is Pep overrated or what. Seems the man can't win unless he possesses far more gifted players than his competitors.
At Barca he had Messi and Iniesta and Xavi in their peaks. At Bayern he had by far the most talented team. Now in city and with a team almost similar in capabilities with his rivals, dude couldn't deliver and has to resort to spending vast sums. (He spent almost 80 million pounds on right full backs alone)
What happens to actually coaching the players available to you like what Conte did last season (he made Moses, a westham reject, look like Alves)

Pep isn't special.

Lol. World people.

So he shouldn't replace released players abi? He should play with academy players to prove he is a master tactician right? Lol. Una too funny.

For your information, Manchester City needed total overhauling. Most of their players were aged. If Pep had met a younger and vibrant team, they wouldn't be a need for such spending.

City have released 12 first team players already, and the likes of Bony, Mangala and Delph will still leave before the end of the transfer window.

So he shouldn't replace them? Wadafuq are you saying.

Mind you, every manager needs good players to win. Not just good players, but players that suit your style. Jose Mourinho has won a lot because he has spent a lot. Same with Carlo Ancelotti.

Zidane is winning now consistently because he has the players to execute their plans on the training ground in matches. You can't win the champions league with a team filled with mediocres. You need players above average to read the game and carry out your tactics exceptionally on the pitch. That's the only way you can win and win consistently. Not fairytales.

Check the most successful managers in world football, they all had quality players that suits their tactics.

Mourinho is busy buying players over 6ft tall because they suit his playing style.

Guardiola is buying technical players because they suit his game style.

Why is Pep's case different?

I see hypocrisy in all of this. Yea. Hypocrisy.

Thank you!

The best would be decided at the end of 2017/2018 EPL and UCL season. It's unfortunate, Arsenal are not in the UCL.

Wondering what would be Jose and Pep excuses if they failed to lift either trophies at the end of the season considering the choice of players they gambled their money on.
and you had to quote the whole thing ehn

best response ever, that Dani Alves move that failed made man city desperate, hence the price for walker and Mandy that high. Also why Elderson Was high was because of 3rd party ownership of about 50% or so but man city had a bargain in Bernardo Silva, Danilo

mind you victor moses isn't a 'reject' by any club, that guy is uniquely unique even before he started playing for crystal palace then Wigan before Chelsea..guy next time get ur facts right *peace*..
Talking about coaches let's give thumbs up for Pep guardiola rather than saying he's overrated,Football itself has change a lot and talking about modern day football we talk about Diego someone, Pep guardiola, zinedine zidane, jurgen klopp etc..You can't compare conte to Guardiola simply because of what happened last season
