The course includes;


ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION

· Fishing of breeders: catfish

· Selection and conditioning of breeders.

· Injection to breeders

· Extraction of eggs from females.

· Follow-up and monitoring of the larvae

· Post-hatching operations


FOOD PROCESSING

· Know the equipment and maintenance

· Know the choice and roles raw materials

· Learn and master quality control and the process of production of juice, syrup, jam, soy milk, yogurt, dried fruits and vegetables

· Learn and master packaging and storage / preservation of finished products



VEGETABLE FARMING



· Understand and master the techniques of organic vegetable production

· Master the different techniques of organic fertilizers, soil biology (compost, soil microorganisms, EM technology, RCW etc)

· Water Management: Irrigation

· Learn about carrying out activities for the cultivation of different tillage and planting (making beds and nurseries, manure application, tillage, planting / maintenance,

· Biological pest control against predators and parasites by the use of EM technology

INTEGRATED RICE FISH AND CROP FARMING



· Master and appropriate the functioning of the integrated production system jointly propelling rice cultivation on large scale integrated with livestock farming in another Agro-ecological area.

· To learn the techniques of the Intensive Rice-farming System (SRI),

· To master different technical rice production and fish breeding system,

· To master the integration with market gardening by deploying genuine, appropriate and environment respectful technologies.



LOCATION:

We will be having this training in two basic location (Songhai Center Portnovo and Songai Center Kinwedji)

Songhai Farm Porto Novo for the first two days and then we go to Songhai Farm Kinwedji for intergrated fish and rice farming.

The kewidnji farm is about 300km from Porto Novo and 5km to Togo.



All these and many more will be handled during our training.
