Man is still capable of unimaginable evil.

That was the reality that played out on Tuesday when detectives attached to the Lagos State Police Command uncovered the den of suspected ritual killers at Obadeyi Ajala Street, Ijaye Ojokoro area of Lagos.

The operatives allegedly recovered charms, carvings, white clothes stained with blood, as well other fetish items.

Reports suggest the suspect was allegedly arrested following a persistent cry for help by an alleged victim, which drew the attention of some passersby.

Bounce News correspondent, William Osewezina who visited the site on Wednesday, reports that hundreds of Lagosians have visited the community to get a first hand account of what happened.

There is still heavy security in the area.

Some buildings have been sealed off and the affected residents are demanding their rights to go inside the buildings, threatening to break the police cordon.

People familiar with the community insist there is a room under the tunnel but police have described such claims as "wishful thinking".

Bounce News also discovered that even though there are some houses around the area, the place looks eerily lonely.

Business activities in the area have been suspended and several shops forced to remain shut.der disciplining them.
