1, The two copies of human gene are made of (4) four chromatids 2, An offspring may inherit at most (4) four chromatids or no chromatid from any of the parents 3, Only female parent may carry one, two, or three sickle celled chromatids 4, Male child that per chance carries one or two sickle-celled chromatids may not survive it long enough to grow up to pass the sickle celled chromatids to the next generation 5, Sickle celled chromatids or gene are most likely inherited from female parent 6, Sickle celled gene or chromatids are most unlikely inherited from male partner 7, Male individual are usually not a carrier of sickle-cell gene 8, One sickle celled chromatid in a male child is enough to give a traumatic aneamic disease that he may eventually die of it. 9, One or two sickle celled chromatids may make a female child, a carrier of the disease (termed type AS) and may live with no crisis if she has no (other) secondary blood affliction like aneamia and heamophillia 10, Three sick cell chromatids in female child may make her have traumatic sickle cell aneamia crisis (termed type AC) from time to time. 11, Four sickle cell chromatids in a female foetus may result in (i) Miscarriage (ii) Still birth (iii) ABIKU or (iv) Infantile mortality 12, All forms of blood disease issues like (i) Haemophillia (ii) Rhesus factor (iii) Pernicious anaemia Among several others in a sickle cell blood carrier (type AS or Ac) worsens the health situation |
