Gospel artiste, Jide Akande dropped his long awaited full length debut album titled “Ma se beru” (Fear not) on Sunday January 22, 2017 in Lagos Nigeria.
Speaking on the new album, Jide Akande said the inspiration behind Ma se beru came from Psalm 46; 10, Romans 8; 31 and Matthew 14:22-34. “There are times in our lives we find ourselves in difficult situations; we need not to be afraid because the Lord is always with us”
The gospel musician, songwriter/composer, an Accountant and a banker is the president of the Good news Ministries International. This according to him was established under the inspiration of God Almighty.
Mr. Babajide Akande is the prime mover of this ministry. He was born some forty five years ago in to Akande and Adisa families of Ogbomoso town, Oyo state. He got married to Abigail Omolara(an Author, professional teacher and co-visioneer of the ministry). The marriage is blessed with three children- Anjolaoluwa, Oreoluwa and Oluwasinaayomi.
When asked about feedback and response to the album he said:
"Generally accepted from the feedback I am getting."
He also stated that we should expecting a sophomore album by January 2018. He has plans to do a promotional tour and revivals across the country if he manages to secure to aid of sponsors. He was very explicit about this saying "We sing gospel we do not eulogize!!
He wishes to have individual duets with Pastor Adelakun (Ayewa International) and Esther Igbekele.
