Breaking News! ASUU, FG Ends Crucial Meeting In Deadlock, To Continue Thursday

The meeting between leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Minister of Labour and Employment, Sen. Chris Ngige has just ended this evening Tuesday, August 15, 2017.


The meeting held at the Minister’s Conference Room, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Federal Secretariat, Abuja took significant steps towards the resolution of the issues raised by ASUU.

We know how these things normally go: ASUU declares strike, assumes the deceptive no-going-back stand during initial negotiations, only to accept financial handshakes from the government after 1 - 2 weeks. And the strike is called off without any demand being met.

imagine after they have gone on strike FG is now trying to amend what has been broken

2012/2013 case was different

Don't think Ngige can handle this angry lecturers o. Better still cordinating Ag. president way in early o. or better still an arrangement should be made for ASUU to also do her own visiting at LONDON HOUSE. Maybe that's what they need
