I get teary every time it happens
No matter how hard I try
I still cannot hold it and I cry
My lifted face eventually flattens

The tears really get at me
Quite obvious from what people see
Sadly the circle repeats itself all the time
Feelings like I don’t have a dime

I get teary trying to resist it
The effect on me is akin to deep heat
I get in contact with it whenever I wear aprons
I get teary whenever I slice onions
