M. Gary Neuman, a marriage counselor carried out a survey by speaking with 200 cheating men and a very striking discovery was made about cheating husbands. The findings showed the following;

48% of the 200 cheating men confirmed that the primary reason they cheated on their wives is emotional dissatisfaction.
77% of the cheating men revealed having a good friend who cheated.
66% reported feeling guilty while having an affair.
40% of the total number agreed that they met the other lady at work.
12% only, admitted that their wives were less physically attractive than their mistress.
6% admitted having a physical intimacy with a lady after meeting her the same night or day.

EMOTIONAL DISSATISFACTION

Men have emotions too although a lot of women erroneously believe that men are very hardened people. It is this negative ideology that causes some of them to behave in a way that brings emotional dissatisfaction to their husband even unknowing to them. Some women think that all a man needs is good sex to be happy without considering his emotions. This is a bad ideology because a man could have sex a multiple time just to relieve himself but he is actually emotionally withdrawn from you. Bang! That sounds impossible you might think, but it is a proven fact. I have seen a lot of married men tell me that most times when they have sex with their wives, they always put the picture of another lady whom they are emotionally satisfied with in their imagination in order to help them enjoy the sex with their wives. So it is like having a party where the third party is only known and present in the imagination of one of the parties. This is so sad. Emotional dissatisfaction is a very serious cause of infidelity in men. There are so many things that wives do that lead to emotional dissatisfaction in their men. Let us take a look at them.

LACK OF RESPECT:

When a woman exhibits lack of respect for her husband in anyway; talking back at him, not hearing him out, being selfish, rejecting all his contributions e.tc. There is 99% possibility that she will puncture her man’s ego making him to be emotionally withdrawn from her overtime. Women have reasons why they act that way and most times it is their own way to prove a point which may not have any bad intentions behind it but before they know what is happening, they have only caused more harm than good. Some women make more money than their husbands and gradually, they start lording themselves over their husbands. Very few women can handle this scenario without insulting their husbands indirectly. Every man wants to be the man and anytime, a woman starts becoming the man by neglecting her man, emotional dissatisfaction sets in. This will cause the man to gradually seek for happiness outside and once he convinces himself that he has found a lady who listens to him and care for no other but him, gradually he completely disconnects emotionally from his wife. This is what is called cheating.
