This month, a route in Ikeja, Lagos, is the focus. We have prepared a report on logged RF performance in LTE mobile broadband networks along the evaluated route at the time of data collection.
The six mobile broadband network service providers evaluated are MTN, Globacom, 9mobile, Ntel, Smile, and Estream.
The performance of the radio access networks of each service provider along the evaluated route, in comparison with the other service providers, is rated, using the following KPI weights: Connection Drop rate, 20%; Connection Setup Failure rate, 10%; Downlink Throughput distribution, 25%; Peak Downlink Throughput, 10%; Latency, 15% and LTE coverage, 20%.
A report containing our ranking and detailed analysis of failure events for each service provider is available.
