musKeeto: READ BEFORE YOU TROLL Mumu, Read before you respond Logicboy03: I myself am not a pagan. But I do accept that our or my nigerian culture is steeped in paganism and I can not claim to be a christian or muslim without entering a hypocritical contradiction. This is because christianity and islamic theiology see paganism as as sin- polytheism especially. How does this not also create a dilenma for atheists who are against all gods. Somehow logicboy as an atheist thinks he is free to observe practices of something he doesn't believe in but christians and muslims are not free to do the same? If you weren't so busy tossing his salad, you would have noticed his foolishness |

PhenomenonVFX: Logicboy. For someone who prides himself in logic, so much so that he adopted a moniker to reflect it, this thread betrays ur lack of it. I dont know what has happened to u. It seems u are beginning to lose ur touch. It would appear that ur constant squabbles with christians and theists (whether dumb or smart) have left u all the worse for the wear intellectually. Now u are just clawing at straws and making atheists look bad. You obviously didnt think things through before starting this thread. Ur argument here does not show that there is no God. What u have shown instead is that the human perception and view is limited at best and therefore God may not be as we imagined. And to further buttress ur points, u have filled this thread with "What-if" scenarios in all ur arguments. Yet u forget that it is that same "What-if" that give MOST people a reason to believe in a creator: the need for self-preservation even in the afterlife. As a deist, I can only tell u this: for as long as u cannot prove conclusively that there is no God, people have a right to believe whatever they want. And when their belief is antithetical to urs, u cant take a moral highground and try to fault them for their beliefs (except of course when it involves some fairytales written in some bronze age book). wow, was there a time when he was intelligent? please post a link abeg. His stupidity has been worrying me |

Logicboy03: Seriously, any christian or muslim who honestly thinks that he/she can claim that he respects his culture as a tribal Nigerian. Our Nigerian cultures can not be separated from paganism. Why do historically christian and/or Jewish countries like Isreal, European countries and America generally act solemn and grave during burials? Because in their theology, God has to judge the soul of the dead person and there is a possibilty of hell or heaven. It is left in uncertainty and up to God.
For us Nigerians, we celebrate during burials. Why? A pagan reason. The dead soul goes to meet his or her ancestor. There is no concept of hell. So when you are dancing and eating meat during burials just know that you are observing a pagan ritual.
The vast ignorance among Nigerians that claim to be christians or muslims yet they are true igbo or hausa or yoruba is just saddening.
Why you present kola for weddings and important meetings? Do you know that you are appeasing elders with kola the same way you are meant to appease the spirits of the ancestors? Did you really think that you were doing it for a reason other than paganism?
I myself am not a pagan. But I do accept that our or my nigerian culture is steeped in paganism and I can not claim to be a christian or muslim without entering a hypocritical contradiction. This is because christianity and islamic theiology see paganism as as sin- polytheism especially.
Olodumare is not Yawheh, Oghene is not Yaweh, Amadioha is not Yaweh or Allah.
Please, you dont have to be a pagan to respect our culture but as a christian or muslim do not ever claim that you respect your culture or you are a true nigerian tribe. shebi you know that by saying this, you are identifying yourself as a pagan when you eat kolanuts. You cannot be an atheist and still observe pagan rituals. The same can be extended to if you took a holiday on christmas, easter, sundays, etc you make me laugh because you are so oblivious of how your arguments backfire on you. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Can Someone Explain Why God Killed David's Son For David's Sin? by 3cassavasticks: 8:30am On May 11, 2013 |
Logicboy03: Assuming that God wrote the bible or created us......huge assumption bro.
Cassava Trollington Hey dumbo, why being so stupid? if you deny that god created david and his son, why argue god taking the son's life. this is another example of your idiotic cherrypicking. Selective belief in a fairytale is the height of idiocy. While the christians choose to believe what they like, you choose to believe what you hate. You are twice as deluded. |
