105 Days Later.......
By Ashraf Akintola When the wind blows away the roof of a carpenter Or scurries with a striker’s _penalty to throwing_ Or undo the fabrics of a model There and then, the world has seen The end of such an enterprise It may look Jujuish, hypnotizing and befuddling How imbued with love for a man Millions would be We knew we haven’t reached as a nation, mountain Olympus to say Eureka, We knew we were in deep Political Ballyhoo Economic Ebola and Social Hubble-bubble covered with Boko Haramic Miasma. Yet God shamed the jejune antics of the opposition With the resounding welcome The Sick Nation gave to her ailing leader Despite numerous pontifications of FFK, Diarrheic tongue of Fayose, And the uncouth utterances of the Igbos Baba’s Stoicism and integrity makes him A dear to all and sundry A man you would like to like A General you'd Love to love A man with little words but deafening body language That made the world believe, What you’ve forgotten, others would never know, What you’ve lived, others would read about, What you can do, others can only dream about As that comes only with experience, knowledge and wisdom Baba, we hold our trust in God, but we believe in you! _God Bless Nigeria!_ Sai Baba! Sai Buhari! 1 Like |

Yeah you are right when the spinning of the earth is not a dance but of drunkiness of gin of pollution of devastation. Tiz this troubled nation that feed her food to the termites even when she starves, her horn- the rulers they hit her- dig deeply into her flesh of peace to create a well of troubles. Tiz this nation running around like a mad dog flling- breaking- shattering into pieces-. Tiz this nation hunger loom over our belly fill it with a pasta of worms we design a smile of pretence from a fabric of stupidity and hypocracy. Tiz this nation where nothing matters except the queitness gaggled in the mouth with follies wailing rises- like a troubled wave of the sea. I will be still- I won't act that is why WE ARE DYING. 1 Like |
