*ASUU STRIKE, SITUATION REPORT FROM CAMPUS AMBROSE ALLI UNIVERSITY, EKPOMA*

*ASUU strike is still on and ongoing and plans to call off the strike is not forthcoming and AAU supposed to start Second Semester Examination Next Week Monday, August 28, 2017*
.
*It will interest you to know that, as at yesterday, Monday 21st August 2017... Most of the students on campus and off campus were all traveling home due to ASUU strike*
.
*The popular Big Joe Park was crowded with* *students traveling, students were dragging and pushing just to enter Bus due to scarcity of bus at Big Joe park*
.
*Osaremen park in front of School gate was also crowded with students traveling to Delta, Warri etc Auchi bus stop in front of NNPC close to school gate was not left out*
.
*The ever busy poultry road at Ujemen is scanty due to less number of students still in Ekpoma*
.
*Campus is nothing to write about, Students are not around, only final students who go to school to do one or two things are only found on Campus*
.
*School is dry, school hostel is dry.... Especially the female hostels*
.
*Bike men now beg for passengers*
.
*AAU SUPPOSED TO START SECOND SEMESTER EXAMINATION NEXT WEEK MONDAY, AUGUST 28TH, 2017*
.
*It will interest you to know that, ASUU on Aug. 14, embarked on an indefinite strike to press home its demands for the implementation of an agreement signed between it and the Federal Government on condition of service.*
.
*ASUU is also asking for increased funding of university, autonomy of the institution and academic freedom.*
.
*A meeting between the union and the Nigerian government last Thursday ended in a deadlock.*
*But an optimistic Adamu Adamu, the Education Minister, said the strike could be called off within one week.*
.
*ASUU STRIKE HAVE NOT BEEN CALLED OFF AND NOBODY KNOWS WHEN THE STRIKE WILL BE CALLED OFF*
.
*It will also interest you to know that, even though its ASUU on strike, The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU will meet with the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities, NASU, and the Non-Academic Technicians, NAT, on Wednesday in Abuja to decide on whether to join the ongoing industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU. The meeting will start 10am tomorrow*
.
*If SSANU, NASU, NAT go on strike, that means schools will be shut down completely. Both Academics and non Academics activities on campus will be crippled*
