The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, will on Friday hold a National Executive Council meeting to decide the heading of the progressing national strike, PREMIUM TIMES can report.

The meeting will be holding after national branches similarly held gatherings on Wednesday to settle on whether the strike should proceed or not.

All branch administrators are relied upon to be in Abuja on Thursday while the meeting is probably anticipated that would end on Saturday after which a choice will be conveyed to Nigerians.

At the point when reached on the arranged meeting, the ASUU President, Biodun Ogunyemi, said he would just talk after the meeting had been held.

"We can't respond now however after the NEC meeting we will talk on the advancements," he revealed to PREMIUM TIMES on telephone.

I have observe something Education in the north is more cheaper than south, even the school fees.

And yet you will hardly see Northern universities endorsing this strike like their counterparts.



Take an example like UI they are hell bend on this strike to continue as if there lives depend on it.



And finally when it comes to job opportunities you will see northerners securing job faster than their cousins up south, despite the fact that their cousins spend higher fees.


what i am saying is why the hike of school fees in southern varsities?
