For a freelance photographer, i would advice you build your portfolio... Not just taking pictures at birthday parties or weddings...ur portfolio should be wholistic... It shld contain pics of landmarks, events, emotions, etc...
Go to market places, schs, churches, health care centers, halls, beaches, mountain tops, etc..n take quality pics..

Finally, share them on foto sharing websites like foto.com.ng...there re a lot of them..cant remember..a quick search on google will help...

Like i said with as little as 7k, u can buy a domain and build ur own website where google can crawl ur website and people can easily find ur pics on google images..
