Prophet (Muhammad PBUH) was asked by his blessed companions, What is the criteria of selecting friend? Who should we select as close friends?

Beloved Prophet (Muhammad PBUH) replied: Choose that friend when you see him, you remember Allah. When you speak with him, he will increase your knowledge about Allah. And when you speak to him, he will remind you about the accountability of the afterlife (one day you have to die and give your accounts to Allah).
