APDA YOUTHS EXPRESS DISPLEASURE IN PARTY CRISES

Youths of the Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance under the aegis of Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance Youth Frontier have broken their silence in the ongoing leadership tussle between Malam Muhammed Kabiru Shitu faction and Alhaji Ilo Mainasara group loyal to High Chief Raymond Dokpesi.

In a statement signed by Comrade Inioribo Tamunotonye, the group's National Coordinator and its National Secretary, Comrade Abdullahi Mohammed, and made available to newsmen, the youths expressed displeasure in the direction the party is going. The statement reads;

"We are disturbed that due to the interest of a few, the APDA which Nigerians look up to as the ideal platform to take the country from its pathetic state to the land of promise is turning out to live contrary to expectation even to the extent of having two factions at the National leadership, with states splitting their loyalty"

"We wish to state that as youths of APDA, we appreciate our position as the largest segment of our great party and the drivers of the affairs of the party. As such, the National Executive Committee of the Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance Youth Frontier appointed a 8- member Committee comprising of Youths leaders of the party from all 6 geopolitical zones to holistically appreciate the situation and recommend appropriate position to be taken by the Youths of the party under the umbrella of APDA Youth Frontier"

"The youths of the party staked their integrity to embrace the APDA, some even resigned choice positions in their former parties in order to build this party. We shall not allow our sacrifices be eroded on the alter of greed of a few persons irrespective of how highly placed they may perceive themselves to be".

"Furthermore, we wish to inform members of the public that the APDA Youth Frontier was not part of the purported decision to change the Muhammed Shitu led NWC and install Mainasara led NWC, neither were they consulted in the ongoing legal tussle before the Abuja High Court. However, we shall continue to hold our peace pending the recommendations of the Youth Committee on the APDA crises"

"We admit that this is truly a period of challenge for us, but we assure members of the general public especially the youths of Nigeria that the youths of APDA are determined to take a stand that is patriotic and shall be in order to achieve the generational shift in leadership of our great country"

"We urge everyone to put the interest of the party and the country above every other interest in all their dealings", the statement concluded
