6 APC Leaders Who May Replace Buhari In 2019 by Crystal70200: 3:52pm On Aug 29, 2017 |
With the 2019 election campaigns in their beginning phases, it is increasingly clear that President Muhammadu Buhari's health challenges might stand in the way of his 2019 presidential ambitions. It is very likely then that the other All Progressives Congress (APC) bigwigs will position themselves to replace him in the party's primaries. Below is a list of some politicians likely to replace him and run for president in 2019: 1. Atiku Abubakar On February 2, 2014, Atiku left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join APC. In 2019, he will be 73 years of age and his current presence in the Nigerian media, suggest the former vice president might run for president in 2019. 2. Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso In 2015, Kwankwaso unsuccessfully contested the presidential primaries nomination under the opposition All Progressive Congress, but lost to Muhammad Buhari. He is currently a senator representing Kano Central and is likely to try again for presidency in 2019. 3. Bukola Saraki Saraki is a current member of the APC and previous member of the PDP. He has been the president of the Senate since 2015 and might run for presidency in 2019. 4. Mallam Nasir El- Rufai He is a member of the APC and was elected as the executive governor of Kaduna state during the 2015 general elections in Nigeria. 5. Ibrahim Shettima Kashim Shettima is a Nigerian agricultural economist and politician who was elected governor of Borno state, Nigeria in the 26 April 2011 national elections, running on the All Nigeria People's Party (ANPP) platform which is now part of the APC. 6. Rochas Okorocha Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha is a Nigerian multi-billionaire businessman, education philanthropist and politician from Imo state, Nigeria who won the May 6, 2011, gubernatorial election in Imo state and was reelected for his second term on April 11, 2015. Which of these politicians do you think can actually succeed? Source: http://www.naij.com/1122532-6-apc-leaders-replace-buhari-2019.html |

The list just highlights the poor prospects of APC in 2019. Nobody listed there, with the exception of Atiku, stands a chance of becoming President. |

Buhari must come back or Osinbajo take over. We want people with purpose and ideas. |
