Violence has erupted in the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital following a protest by some of the displaced persons who claimed that the quantity of food brought into the camps for distribution was little.

This resulted to the humanitarian workers pulling out of the camps for fear of being attacked.
