If no one saw this coming, then we are all blind men in Africa. This piece of news will not be an exception unless something is seriously done to make soldiers realize their place and duty when in the midst of the civilian populace which pay their salaries in order to be protected by them.

If no one has told them yet that the civilians pay their salaries, then their leaders need to get some serious orientation. Read below the effects of such ignorance.

Some armed soldiers recently received the beatings of their lives from an angry Mob during a protest in Lome, Togo. The soldiers had gone to shoot two persons dead, an action that got the rest of the protesters really angry and consequently made them to attack the soldiers in a do or die battle.

The angry protesters went on to seize the Ak-47 rifles belonging to the soldiers and attacked them with sticks and sharp objects.

This is no hate speech. You are simply angry and that is understandable. Soldiers by the way are not meant to be seen on the streets except when they need to help the civilians during disaster periods like what happened Macao in China.
See the video of the galant soldiers helping the civilians clear disaster stuff here; http://uneekomunikations.com/wp/uneekomunikations-the-macao-example-for-nigerian-soldiers-video/

We can collectively stop all of that by talking about it everywhere, showcasing abuse cases on blogs, other media outlets and complaining to and putting pressure on our-so-called representatives to complain to the relevant authorities. For an example, this post and other related ones are always on my Facebook and Twitter handle. The government will have to do something if the complaints are virtually everywhere they turn.
Do not be discouraged. Act but in a civil manner and we will get there for sure.
