The IBF has ordered Anthony Joshua to face mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev next, with the fight scheduled for October 28 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, according to the Mirror.

Joshua had hoped to defend his belt against Wladimir Klitschko in a rematch of their super fight which happened earlier this year. and that was watched by a 90,000 sell-out Wembley crowd.

However, after Klitschko announced his retirement earlier this month, the opportunity now falls into the hands of Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev, but who is he?

Well, he has an impressive professional record of 25-1 with a total of 13 KO's, whilst his only loss came against Klitschko in 2014.

Although, after the hype that surrounded Joshua vs Klitschko, which was aired in over 140 countries worldwide and was ultimately the biggest British fight ever, this to many boxing fans may seem like a bit of an anti-climax.

However, promoter Eddie Hearn is rather pleased the fight is now official.

He told Sky Sports earlier this month: "When the IBF cleared the Klitschko rematch, it was under the proviso that if it's not Klitschko it must be Pulev, so we've already got talks in place with Kalle Sauerland [Pulev's promoter].

"Part of me is quite pleased we can move forward and draw a line under this. There was always the worry with Klitschko's age that we could announce the fight and he could get injured in camp, various bits and pieces like that."

He will also be hoping that the fight can bring in over 50,000 fans, which will be similar to the crowd that watched Joe Calzaghe beat Mikkel Kessler in the same stadium back in 2007.

Anthony Joshua has a perfect professional record of 19-0, winning all fights by way of KO, whilst never reaching the 12th round in any.

He will be the huge favourite come fight night and will hope to extend his unbeaten streak with an emphatic performance.
