Senator Shehu Sani has advised President Buhari to fumigate and disinfect his cabinet so that he can get rid of "hyenas, jackals and wolves" that have personal interests instead of the success of his administration. Speaking to newsmen in Kaduna state yesterday, Sani said it is time for president Buhari to reset his cabinet by firing those that need to be fired and reshuffle or reassign those that are underperforming.

"There are hyenas, jackals and wolves within the cycle of the presidency that have personal interests other than that of Mr. President. One thing the President needs to do which is very important is for him to take a proactive stand in order to reset his presidency by looking at his cabinet in totality. Those who have failed should be shown the way out and those who have not been able to perform satisfactorily should be replaced or reshuffled. But it is time for Mr. President to throw some people out of his cabinet and change the portfolio of some of them so they can help him to perform better. There is mid-term fatigue that exists and the only way out is to bring in capable hands. This is a message I’m sending to Mr. President to fumigate and disinfect the presidency in the general interest of his own government and also the country as a whole" Sani said

Recall that on July 6th, Sani shared a cryptic message on his Facebook page where he inferred that some characters in the presidency are very happy that President Buhari was away in the UK for medical check up. His message which got a reply from Aisha Buhari, read

“Prayer for the absent Lion King has waned; until he’s back then, they will fall over each other to be on the front row of the palace temple. Now the hyenas and the jackals are scheming and talking to each other in whispers; still doubting whether the Lion King will be back or not. Now the Lion King is asleep and no one dare to confirm if he will wake up or not. It’s the wish of the hyenas that the Lion King never wakes or comes back so that they can be kings. It’s the prayers of the weaker animals that the Lion King comes back to save the Kingdom from the hyenas, the wolves and other predators.”

Aisha Buhari in her response, wrote

"God has answered the prayers of the weaker animals. The hyenas and the jackals will soon be sent out of the kingdom. We strongly believe in the prayers and support of the weaker animals. Long live the weaker animals. Long live Nigeria.”

President Buhari returned from the UK last month.
