SPORT Philippe Coutinho could 'refuse to play for Liverpool' in the Champions League to force move to Barcelona Philippe Coutinho might refuse to play for Liverpool in the Champions League. Brazilian winger Coutinho is desperate to join Barcelona, having handed in a transfer request and missed the start of the season with a back injury. The Reds named Coutinho in their 25-man squad for the Champions League, but the former Inter Milan man could snub the opportunity to play, according to Sport. Coutinho is worried his participation could prevent him from starring for Barca in the knockout stages. Ilemona93:Go and help them do their business now. Because you are the one that helped them to sell Torres to Chelsea, or Mascherano & Suarez to Barca? A good club that plans to make progress in tournaments knows when to sell and when to keep on to its best players. Airtimex:to be frank, I think coutinho has done enough, he should just let go and focus on his career, if Barcelona really need him, they will surely come back for him, All this will make him out of form and loss focus, he needs playing time to get his best. |

kloppzy:I know he'll still go. Especially with the way he's behaving now. But it is highly unprofessional of him sha. Barca will table a bigger offer. And Liverpool has already bought Oxlade-Chamberlain to replace him so even if he doesn't play in the champions league they'll still cope. But thast will also affect him phychologically, and if the team is doing well without him then his suitors Barcelona might begin to feel he's not really thast important at the end of the day. |
