DEATH PENALTY Will End Corruption In Nigeria by RealityShot: 1:35pm On Sep 07, 2017
China raises corruption
threshold for death
penalty

The move updates standards enshrined in
the Criminal Law about two decades ago...

http://m.scmp.com/news/china/policies-politics/article/1936967/china-raises-corruption-threshold-death-penalty

Without doubt, establishing Death Penality for corrupt govt & non-govt officials and enforcing it is the only way to begin the process of surgically removing this cancer called curruption in Nigeria.

just imagine the current case between the IG of police and a senator!!
its being discussed like toy story while people are suffering in this country.

I agree with you but if that is implemented in Naija, believe me that Naija would be wiped out of this planet grin

In corruption we were concieved
In corruption we were born
In corruption we have lived
In corruption we shall all die in

Who's going to be our saviour?

Re: DEATH PENALTY Will End Corruption In Nigeria by Nobody: 3:25pm On Sep 07, 2017
Will the Senate make such law ? Knowing fully well it's their death sentence they are making.

Will the president sign such law? Knowing fully well he'll be caught in his own web.

"quitters never win, winners never quit..." according to your signature..

It's not the laws. The problem in Nigeria, infact in most developing countries is not the absence of laws, the laws are there, it's
Who will pass the verdict??

Even the current laws we have is enough, but who's implementing it. We just need stronger institutions.

If Nigeria is working a well as China is toady won't that be great?
Certainly, China must be doing something right.. Death penalty is one of them.
At least it will reduce it, and stop all this impunity we are witnessing.

First of all u run a country with zero equity n u want to be like China, lmao grin

U obviously know very little about corruption, China and how a country works.

China has a ruling party n loyal members of that ruling party embezzle money on a nuclear scale n they don't get to be sued to court, talk more of getting a death sentence. It is the members of smaller political parties on China and politicians who fall out of favour with the ruling party that get long prison sentences n death sentence.
Didn't u hear about a corruption case in China where governor n his wife killed a British banker who laundered money for them? One shipment that caused problems between them that led to the death of the British Banker was 100 million dollars......It was all over CNN n BBC n AJazeera back then, around 8 years ago. U can read it up. China is one of the most corruption ridden countries on earth n yet they were able to develop n become the 2nd largest economy n 2nd most powerful military on earth.
U can't mention top 10 corrupt countries on earth without seeing China dere.

"" If Nigeria is working a well as China is toady won't that be great?

How can Nigeria work like China wen Buhari assumed power and in 4 years he is yet to start any project, Talk more of finishing it. Every nation on earth suffer corruption as a wahala, And they still develop at a very fast rate so remove that ur thinking that corruption is the reason why Nigeria isn't developed. Fighting corruption doesn't build roads n bridges, Fighting corruption doesn't build power plants and it sure doesn't fight insurgency n other security challenges.
Fighting corruption wouldn't enable a lawyer to develop our power sector n end the problem we have there, Neither will it enable a French graduate to end our agricultural wahala.

Nigeria suffers from lack of knowledge at the leadership level.

Nobody loves Nigeria (except maybe 50% of igbos).

Nigeria has a huge religious problem.

Nigeria has a huge ethnic problem.

Nigeria's system of quota is the most dangerous in the world. In October, someone who failed jamb MUST gain admission into the university because they come from Kotangora local government.

The Elite in Nigeria have refused regional government, That is another evil that has held nigeria back.

CORRUPTION ISN'T A MAJOR PROBLEM IN NIGERIA, ITS A VERY MINOR PROBLEM.

you think China is more corrupt than Nigeria... That is your perspective.

From mine, Nigeria is corrupt to the point that the bribery cripples every form of investment, which is precisely the death of our productivity.

Today you bribe in all industries, even in education and health sectors!

China is known to be among the most corrupt countries on earth.

Bribery in Nigeria didn't stop building of energy generating plants.

Bribery didn't destroy our once bubbling education sector.

Bribery didn't destroy our hospitals.

Bribery didn't prevent Nigeria from having an ambulance system to respond to accident victims.

Bribery didn't destroy our roads n bribery didn't stop construction of new roads or repair of old roads.

Bribery didn't prevent the construction of oil refineries.

There are so many corrupt countries on earth.

There 're so many corrupt countries in Africa n yet they are doing far better than us.
