YAR’DUA MUST BE IMPEACHED!

It is not done any where in the world that a country’s President will jet out unofficially and remain in communicado for 3 months to his executive officers, National Assembly and the people of his nation. This is the epitome of disregard to the tenets of democratic governance. Therefore, Yar’dua must be impeached!

During his AWOL, he neither communicated with his VP, Senate, House of Reps or the Ministers. Even the representatives of Governors, Ministers, National Assembly and others sent to Saudi Arabia were not permitted to see him. Instead, he communicated only with his family (wives and children) and BBC. That’s is to say, Yar’dua has more regard for his family and BBC than Nigeria and Nigerians. Therefore, he must be impeached!

I, and I believe most Nigerians, have observed with dismay that Yar’adua is a robot controlled by a cabal ( his household and kitchen cabinet), who does not give a damn about the existence and progress of Nigeria and Nigerians. Yar’adua has no regards for the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as he blatantly refused to handover to his VP or inform the National Assembly of his absence, despite national pressure. Therefore he must be impeached!

Nigeria is a country of great men/women of international repute, and can not afford to be led as if they are cows (even cows would have found their level after a day absence of their shepherd). Yar’adua did just that. He left the country in darkness for 3 months, sneaked out and sneaked in unceremoniously. Therefore he must be impeached!

Nigeria is too big to be fumbling and wobbling with a sickler for over 2 years now. Nigeria and Nigerians want to make progress. Therefore he must be impeached! Yes, Yar’dua must be impeached now, else no nation on earth will take Nigeria and Nigerians serious again, while he remains as a President.

What can we say of his clandestine return to the country? I am just imagining the confusion in all quarters on his sudden return to Nigeria. And of what use is he as President of Nigeria, when on his return an ambulance was already on standby, waiting on the tarmac to convey him to God knows where? Nothing; Except to keep the image of a President, to further enable his kitchen cabinet to plunder the resources of this great nation.
Yar’dua must be impeached!

In conclusion, Yar’dua has no regard for the Constitution of The Federal Republic Of Nigeria or Rule Of Law. He is obviously incapacitated by ill-health to lead a country as big as Nigeria. Therefore, Yar’dua must be impeached!

National Assembly, the people of Nigeria and indeed the whole world are watching.

NASS should apply Section 144 and impeach Yar'adua for incapacity to discharge his duties. Acting President can not be effective in the present situation, with Yar'adua kitchen cabinet around him. Nigeria needs to move on.
