A growing youth-oriented inspirational online magazine is seeking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, innovative and vision-oriented person for the position of an EDITOR-IN-CHIEF.

JOB DESCRIPTION

● be responsible for supervising, writing, researching, or collating and editing of articles, news items, reports, press releases, photographs and adverts published in the magazine
● provide feedback, advice and assistance to editors and staff members in relation to their work
● deal and manage day-to-day operations of the magazine including but not limited to hiring and managing staff and delegating or assigning job responsibilities and fixing remuneration, drawing up budget proposals, generating new ideas of doing things such as technology, implementing ways to increase the readership, and adopting strategies to grow the magazine to be a leader in the industry
● to represent the magazine within and outside the country at social functions, provide advice on editorial issues, discuss plans and other business relating to the magazine and publication to the Publication Board
● perform other functions as from time to time assigned


REQUIREMENT

● Self-motivated, vision-oriented, focused, analytical, inspiring, hard working and can work under pressure and with no supervision
● Possess good writing, editing, researching, organising and oratory skills.
● Possess good exemplary understanding of English grammar, excellent general knowledge, a keen interest in current affairs and ability to grasp variety of subjects quickly
● Possess IT skills and capable of working long on internet
● possess good business acumen and with a very strong desire to be self-employed
● Good administrative and strong team-working skills
● be between the age of 20 and 35
● Prior work experience in related area(s) is an added advantage
● Undergraduate or graduate in any field
