Plateau United has emerge as champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League for the 2016/17 season. Plateau United clinched the glory after beating Rangers FC two goals to null at Rwang Pam Stadium Jos, Nigeria.

Plateau United finished the league with 66 points while league rival MFM FC finished as runner-up with 62 points. Plateau United also received N50 Million as champions.

Plateau United had an impressive season with 19Wins, 9Draws and 10Loses.

The bottom half of the table wasn't so good for Shooting Stars, ABS FC, Gombe United and Remo Stars.
