To appreciate President Buhari you have to know that, just after he was sworn-in, the price of crude oil crashed from about $120 p/b to less than $40 p/b in the global market thereby bringing the oil revenue - Nigeria's major source of revenue - down by more than 60%

To worsen matters, few weeks into his leadership renewed insurgency in the Niger Delta cut down Nigeria's daily output to 800,000 b/pd from 2.2m b/pd. This further cut down Nigeria's already reduced income by about 40%.

If President Buhari's ability to manage Nigeria BETTER with just about 20% to 30% of what used to come into the coffers of Nigeria under PDP doesn't count as a success, then 'success' must have a different meaning in Nigeria other than what it means in other places.

Checking the insecurity PDP/Jonathan failed to check, paying salaries and rescuing insolvent states, breathing life into the socio-economic life of Nigerian, restoring hope to Nigerians by bringing sanity into the system should all count as the blessing we envisaged and prayed for in a President Buhari.

We are not disappointed.
