A 19 year old final year student of Mass Communication in Uyo City Polytechnic, Imo Sampson Ekanem, has been reportedly killed by a trigger happy police officer.
The late Ekanem, a native of Nkek in Ukanafun Local Government Area of the State, who was riding a motorcycle, was said to have been shot dead on Nkek-Abak Road, by policemen over his failure to give the officers N100.Reports say the deceased was stopped by the security men who asked for the particulars of the motorcycle, and when he told them that the vehicle belonged to his mother and that the documents were at home, the policemen demanded N100.
