The UNIZIK chapter of the Joint Action Committee of Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, National Association of Academic Technologists and Non Academic Staff Union of Universities has embarked on an indefinite strike.

According to a Memo circulated within the campus the strike is due to Non payment of allowances, good governance, poor funding among others.

With striking SSANU, NAAT and NASU, the campus will be on total shutdown as the Academic staff under Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) have been on strike for over three weeks now.
