It just shows if states don't take initiative to fix these Federal roads nothing gets done. Seriously which federal road is in decent shape currently. 2 Likes |

Not like ipob States that will always disturb us with south east bad road instead of challenging their state governors to do something 4 Likes |

Blue3k2: Bros I can call this restructuring Restructuring of mind Restructuring of lack of ideas Restructuring of old ways that it must be federal government |
Re: Sokoto, Zamfara Govts Team Up To Fix Sokoto-gusau Federal Highway by Blue3k2: 11:40pm On Sep 11, 2017 |
sarrki: It is supposed to be federal government doing the job. That can't be disputed since it is federal road which they collected tax money to maintain. At the same time states can't wait for idiots at Aso Rock to figure out this out. States pretty much have to fix it and wait for refund. The federal government needs to be transparent on what they get and do with money. Then figure out what to do be it tolls or tax increase. As long as they actually do their job nobody will honestly care. |

I hope say SE Govs dey hear this. Their counterparts in NW say screw FG, we go join hands improve this federal road and boost local market in our states. . |

ImperialYoruba: Do you know the extent of road repairs South-East govts have done on FG roads there? Have you heard of new roads linking states built by the last Enugu state govt? Use your brain MR. Man. |

sarrki: If the FG can no longer perfom its duties that it now gives to states why do you fight restructuring which is about giving the states more responsibilities which the FG has failed to live up to? |

Impressive, it's no news that we just got out of a recession and period of austerity in which the FG was challenged with limited funds for capital projects. For both state governments to have gone into alliance to fix this strategic road from the limited resources they had (which could have been looted anyway), they deserve commendation. Kudos Govs Tambuwal and Yari...setting examples for the perpetual marginalization and victim criers. |

Maduawuchukwu: If 2nd Niger Bridge was in NW and this long on paper their Govs up there would have turned its fate from "bridge to nowhere" to a "bridge to local prosperity". |

ImperialYoruba: Lol. If it is so easy and so mandatory for states to build FG roads why did Yoruba people not build Lagos Ibadan express way? Why did they wait for the FG for many years? |
Re: Sokoto, Zamfara Govts Team Up To Fix Sokoto-gusau Federal Highway by Maduawuchukwu(m): 8:52am On Sep 12, 2017 |
Anambra state alone is to receive over 45 billion Naira which it spent on FG roads and so people are here saying nonsense. |
Re: Sokoto, Zamfara Govts Team Up To Fix Sokoto-gusau Federal Highway by Blue3k2: 12:59pm On Sep 12, 2017 |
Maduawuchukwu: Most don't know federal government actually owes a few states money for federal road projects. You could Google any state see governor of that state complaining. Akwa says it owed over N140 billion. |
Re: Sokoto, Zamfara Govts Team Up To Fix Sokoto-gusau Federal Highway by ImperialYoruba: 1:52pm On Sep 12, 2017 |
Maduawuchukwu: Because that road is an entitlement. It is the artery into the center of commerce. What commercial significance does Enugu-Ekwulobia federal road have? |
Re: Sokoto, Zamfara Govts Team Up To Fix Sokoto-gusau Federal Highway by EmeeNaka: 2:25pm On Sep 12, 2017 |
100m naira? which means the road was actually in a good shape. Gov Obi and Obiano spent about 49billion naira to reconstruct some sections of Onitsha-Enugu highway, till date they have got no refund. how many States can do that? There is no doubt that SE roads are neglected by FG. whether Tambuwal or Yari or any body construct a FG road or not, it can't erase the fact the FG has marginalized SE in,at least, the area of FG road construction. |
Re: Sokoto, Zamfara Govts Team Up To Fix Sokoto-gusau Federal Highway by Blue3k2: 2:44pm On Sep 12, 2017 |
ImperialYoruba: Terrible argument on too many levels. Roads are public good not entitlement programs. The commercial value doesn't mean anything because the government taxes the population regardless of the commercial value. Why exactly would you argue for irresponsible government. |
Re: Sokoto, Zamfara Govts Team Up To Fix Sokoto-gusau Federal Highway by Maduawuchukwu(m): 8:46pm On Sep 12, 2017 |
ImperialYoruba: So also is the 2nd Niger Bridge which is the main entry point into the South-east and parts of south-south. So stop deceiving yourself. |
